Project 52 | Week 3: Journey

Here is week three of our 52 week project! This week’s theme is “Journey”. A journey you’ve been on, your going on… or would like to go on.

As soon as I heard this week’s theme, I had a vision of what I wanted to photograph… and with a little help of my friend looking out for me today as I was laying in the middle of the road… on “look-out” for cars in both directions… I was able to get the shot… and now let me explain it…

I have had this really great job for the last 12 years… and at the start of this summer… for reasons outside of my control, it will be coming to an end… although it will be the start of a new journey in my life, it will also be the end of another one… and I will miss this great opportunity I had, the awesome friends I made, and even this pretty road I drove on every day… I drove on this road in snow, in rain, in heat, in fog… stopping for deer that darted across the road… watching the baby ducks following their mommy every spring… while i was pregnant and expecting my first child… and then my second… saying the rosary over-and-over again… leaving early to pick up a sick child from school… or just on a typical day to get the kids from grandma’s or from school and then to take them home or to their activities… I will miss the wonderful journey I took on this road… and even though I don’t know what the future holds for me career wise, I will always look back on this beautiful road travelled with very fond memories…

Thanks for stopping by my blog to see this week’s project…
