.newborn twins.

i was asked to photograph my first set of newborn twins the other day and was so excited for this opportunity… i was ready to go with my box of props.. different hats and headbands.. blankets and baskets.. and loads of ideas in my head and in my book.. extra batteries packed and fell asleep the night before dreaming of how it would go… i love photographing newborns.. getting the opportunity to visit with and capture on my camera these tiny miracles.. while also getting some quality snuggle time.. with babies i didn’t know the day before but fall in love with within minutes of meeting them…

these twins were so so beautiful and tiny and i was amazed at how perfect two little babies could be.. and was even MORE amazed at these parents who now have two new little babies who want their undivided attention… i remember having my first baby and how overwhelming that was… thinking back i don’t know how i would have handled two at once!.. these little ones were so incredibly alert for only 3 weeks old… they decided they were going to take turns sleeping and eating and basically told me how this shoot would go… they ran the show.. and gave me lots of beautiful images.. after a lot of work by mommy.. daddy.. and me…

after one morning and part way into the afternoon.. i gained such an appreciation for parents of twins… how blessed they are… and how special they are that they were chosen to handle two perfect little souls at once… here are the photos of my first photographed set of newborns… the way they wanted to be photographed… and i can’t wait until i have this opportunity again…
